Carter has managed to break his glasses. What is a parent supposed to do? We buy him scratch resistent lens, unbreakable frames and what is the first thing to happen?
Well Carter is out playing ball, swinging the bat and some how causes his glasses to fall off. They get tangled on a candy necklace and that is all she wrote. It appears that this incident managed to unscrew a screw in the frame, the one that holds the lens in place, and the one lens falls out.
Carter was in such a hurry to get the ball, and has no memory of the events as they happend. So we are stuck with a $60 bill and a son without glasses for a week.
Crazy, the store would replace them no charge if the frames broke, but a screw coming out of the frame is not covered, as if we would know that the screw would fall out.
Let's just hope Carter doesn't figure out that a broken set of glasses gives him a week of not having to wear them. I'm sure the tales of glasses will never end on a child who's growing up.
