New York, New York

The day started at 4:00 Tuesday morning. Dragging our tired little family out of bed to catch a plane to Albany New York. I was really nervous flying with AJ. Just in the last two weeks he has become so mobile. But the flight was great and AJ slept for part of each leg.

Since our arrival we have been busy each day. It seems to always take a day of rest after flying to get back to yourself. On the first day we rested by cutting down all the dead trees in Grandma's backyard forest. Then spent the afternoon at a new park in Colonie.

Thursday we went minature golfing. The boys were just a little too young to really get the sport down. Balls were flying everywhere. Good thing we were the only persons on the course.

On Friday we went to an undergroung cave in Cobleskill. It was kind of like the Timpanogas Cave, only much more commercialized and the less active. Timpanogos is much more wet and more to see. The good thing about this cave is we didn't have to hike a mile straight up to get to it. In the cave is a river called Styx, that leads to a lake called Lake Venus. You walk down thru the cave and get in boat and ride on the lake for a 1/4 mile. The boys absolutely loved it. Carter summed his experience up by saying, "that was totally wicked".

Today we plan on going to Grandpa's work event. We are going horseback riding.
I will post pictures of all the events soon.
Next Wednesday we are planning on heading to Vermont to see Brian's sister and brother-in-law and their new baby, Vance.
