Every year for our family tradition we reserve a campsite up Millcreek canyon and enjoy the holiday having breakfast with our family and friends. Some years we have a load of people and some years we have the basics. This year was a basics year. My Mom and Dad, my brother Derek and his wife Traci came with thier 3 kids, and my family. We had a great time though small in numbers. The best part every year is Derek's sourdough pancakes. I do not like pancakes, but I could eat his pancakes until I pop a button. We also enjoy watching the kids play in the river next to the campsite. Every year someone looses a shoe down the river and this year Alex was the lucky winner. Good thing Grandpa found it down stream. We spent the day enjoying the cool breezes and eating watermelon. It's always hard to leave. That night we lit fireworks at Grandma's house and watched the big one from the rodeo. We got home around 11:30 pm and we were exhausted. I love the 4th of July. (yes, that's Brian sticking his head in the water)

Fun stuff! Sad I missed it. I could use a little mountain time right now. I love playing in the river with the boys- they have so much fun and are so much fun to watch.
